The cold temperatures of December to February freeze many waterfalls in the Chamonix Valley and its surroundings turning them into ice climbers paradise.
Starting the middle of March when temperature becomes warmer this activity is replaced with "goulotte" that is winter alpinism. In altitude the snow sticks on the face and becomes transformed into ice that we can climb until the end of April.
You want to try ice climbing. You have no idea how to start this activity. Don't worry we will organise everything for you! If you just want to try it you can do a day climbing in Chamonix.
If you are more ambitious, our guide will teach you everything regarding Ice Climbing during 3 days. If you have already a good experience in this matter and you want to improve your skills for more difficult climbing easymountainguide will guide you to climb the most extreme icefall.
Day climb: Chamonix, Sixt Fer à Cheval, Vald'Aost, Valsavarenche, Cogne, Montriond.
Several days climb: Cogne, Freissinnière, Fournel, Kandersteg, SAint Christophe en Oisan, la Grave.
